I had one of those 'what was she thinking moments' a few months ago... my sister who does not sew, was expecting her first baby and asked me if I would sew the crib set, diaper stacker, etc. I said I'd love to. She selected & mailed me a big box of various beautiful fabrics. The main fabric for the quilt, bumpers & crib skirt is a brocade satin! Definitely a first time mom but I know better than to argue with a pregnant person, having been one myself a few times. It all looked beautiful and their little girl was born three weeks ago. We'll see how it looks after a few washes... Whatever, she loved it.

I had decided that I would like to try the striptwist quilt on Quitlville. So got out the jelly roll. It is brown flowers, pink and white paisley, lime green brown paisley and a combination strip. OMG!!!! My sister has impecable taste most of the time-this time it was all in her mouth. I will post pics when it is done but just might qualify for the world's ugliest quilt.

I have see a few "Jellyrolls" showing up at discount stores. The colors and fabric quality is BAD! The prices are good and to a none quilter, that maybe what counts. I would rather pay a fair price on something I want and will use, than get a gift of something I would throw away.

Alright everybody I started to sew these pieces together have a couple of 4 strips done and ironed and several more put together and it is just not working for me. So if somebody would like this half done project I will send it to you. Pm me and will mail it out to the first person who responds.
