Remember that old limerick about a peck of peppers? I would make a basket and fill it with whole pickles (appliqued) then use your sliced pickles for background. Then as a border for the wall hanging cross stitch a border around the outside of piece in dark green. Cucumber pickles have a 5 petal yellow blossom, quite small in fact. When they open up they have curly stems behind them. Put a couple of them near the basket. Don't you think that would be fabulous?

I'd make her a tote to carry the pickles.

I agree with the jar quilt. I think they are so cute, and what better to put in a jar than pickles? Other vegetables that pickle well would work too

I would carry a purse made from it.

Have you heard of the microwave potatoe bag. I make those and sell them. I use vegtables material and fruit.
