    I've also been in our church making prayer quilts. If my attachment works it'll give you a simple pattern. The print is musical and the pattern has 9 patches on point with the full squares of the background fabric. The ties representing prayers mean so much to people when they are in need.

    My daughter is ungoing chemo and she asked for a quilt with minkee on one side - I realize minkee is expensive, but it kept her warm. Sometimes Joann's has minkee and you can get a 40 percent coupon.
