I want to make a throw for my grand daughter's fiance who is about 6'5" and am unsure how big to make it. He is not big around, just tall. Any suggestions?

I would go with one that is about 54" x 84" +. It's an odd size, but it would be long enough to wrap up in and put under his feet too.

I found that the most popular size of throws is 50x60. I would definately make it at least 50x70.

My family and friends like to lay down and be covered. They want to wrap the quilt around and under their feet and be covered to their chins LOL
So I would make them according to their height and girth too :D:D:D

I made a throw recently that is 50x70 and I, at 5'8" find it too short. I like to snuggle right up in my quilt, turning myself into a human burrito, wrapping around and under my feet...My husband is the same way.

So if *I* were 6'5", I'd want it at least 80". Heck, I'm making a new one for myself and I'm making it longer than 80"...of course, it's hardly a throw anymore at that size... but it sure would be cozy!

All good suggestions....but I would also add a 12-15 in. pocket that I could tuck my cold tootsies in & keep the throw wide enough to snuggle under it....happy sewing
