    Hi all,
When you're making a tumbler quilt, what size do you like to use? (Not when you are drinking out of a tumbler...;)). I have the 5" from Missouri Quilt but haven't used it yet. I've thought about getting the 10" template just for another option but that seems kind of huge to me. What do you think? And...if you'd like to share some pictures of your tumbler quilts, that would be great, too!
    Thanks,

I cut my own tumbler and made a mistake and didn't include the unfinished edge, so it is 3" on the short edge, 5" on the long edge, cut out of a 5" square...so whatever the hypotenuses (hypoteni?) would be....

    ETA: I did the math...the diagonal edge is ~ 5.1 :D

I have made several tumbler quilts with the 5 inch tumbler. It is my favorite of all sizes. I used 1930's reproduction fabrics and loved how it looked. I made a tumbler with the Go! 6 1/2 and it was a nice size also.

I made one about 20+ yrs ago, after seeing one at a quilt show. I had a girl that was working at the show measure the size of the tumbler. My quilt is all raggedy now, because it's the one that I sleep with every night, or I would take a picture of it for you.

Here is the measurement of the tumbler that I used....Bottom edge--3-1/4 inches...Top edge--1-3/4 inch and the length from top to bottom is 3-1/2 inches tall. These are finished measurements and don't include the seam allowance. I like the size of it--not too big and not too small.

I'm about to make a miniature tumbler quilt and the size of each block is: bottom edge--1-1/4", top edge--3/4" and length is 1-1/2"
