Default What size volt converter for a Tin Lizzie18 classic in Europe?

Hi, I just moved to Germany with my husband and am bringing my Tin Lizzie18 classic with our household goods shipment. I know I’ll need a voltage converter to drop the 240v house power to 110v. However, I don’t know what wattage the converter should be; we’ve seen converters that can run 100w, 300w, and 1000w. I guess bigger would be better but I don’t want to spend more $ than necessary. All of our stuff is still packed up on a ship so I can’t check the owner’s manual, and the Tin Lizzie site doesn’t specify the wattage for the machine.
Does anyone have an 18 classic and if so, can you let me know what the watt/hertz requirements are on the power cord? It should be listed on a tag on the cord or on the cord’s transformer box. Thanks!

    Erin

Welcome to Germany! I don't have a longarm, but I can ask around my quilt guild for you. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a place that has both voltages. I live off base so we have transformers over our entire house! I will send out a message tonight, hopefully someone will answer quickly. Or you get an answer from someone else on the board. Good luck and welcome again!

Check with someone who might know. I know that some say that using a sewing machine on a converter is no problem, but I did have a problem with my serger--it would overheat.

The power or current requirements should be on the machine.

I have an american Juki which takes about 100W and I got a 300W transformer. I only had the choice between 100 and 300. I'm guessing you would probably be fine with a 200W transformer.

But again - information should be on the machine. (current x voltage = power)

Her machine is in a packing crate. That's why she is asking for someone to check their machine for the power requirements.

Silly me. Didn't see that. Well, I found a clue. The manufacturer recommends a UPS, and the specified UPS is of 200W (250 VA). So that would be the answer also for the converter.
