One clue might be How long ago did you get this? You know, fabric lines are seldom available very long after they hit the stores and since it was "a fat quarter" it makes me think this was the end of a bolt and/or a "close out". It also looks heavier than most. I think I read that you are not looking for an exact match so I'd go with taking a piece you hope to come close to, to a local LQS and ask them what to do? Perhaps the store where you originally bought the fat quarter?

I have a solid jelly roll from Marcus (the Centennial collection). The selvage looks a lot like yours. Check
the Marcus website and see if you can find the exact color. Good luck.
P.S. Keepsake is my LQS also. They can be difficult to deal with!

Ok, that's a clue. I will find a shop online that carries it and will accept a swatch. I just bought the FQ on Saturday, so it's likely not ancient. Thanks!

How about this? This is a Northcott ColorWorks solid. The blue/purple under it is a batik for reference re:size and weave. There are two solid selvedges here, that's why it looks a little weird.

ETA: sorry about the gianormous pic. Can't seem to resize on this ipad.

Well, my picture wasn't any better. I think it really looks like what I have. Now I have 2 leads. Thanks so much.
