I made my own wedding dress, in the 70's and being frugal and all. So I had fabric left from it, and for a while, I put a piece of it in every quilt top I made, trying to start some sort of 'tradition'. But eventually, I lost interest in the idea and gave it up. Also, after a move or two, I lost the fabric. Weird, huh? (It was satin of some sort, but it was washable, although it did need to be ironed after washing.)

Pillow ticking is fabric that we would put feathers in for a feather pillow. It is usually blue and white stripes. Heavier than quilting fabric usually.

Pillow ticking is the heavy fabric to make bed pillows out of. Usually it's striped.

Gold Lame for the binding on a table runner.
