I got a new sewing machine without a hassle when I made the comment that I needed a faster sewing machine. My husband is always upgrading his computer so it will run faster.

mine ask me how much did you pay and did I get a good deal; like he'd never know what a good deal was anyhow. I just say "you know me; I never buy anything unless I get a good deal" he doesn't realize that even if I paid full price for something if I want it it's a good deal. He never knows how much I paid; well the one FW he knew I paid 27 for at the thrift shop; he assumes that I paid that much or around there for the second one. What he doesn't know can't hurt me. I tell him I don't drink or smoke so this is how I spend that portion of his and my paycheck and unlike him I'm not risking my health at the same time.

My DH only plays golf and only has one set of clubs. He did once buy a sailboat for $9000, used it a couple of times and it sat for years beside the garage. What an eyesore! At least I used my machines. I have 3.
