I love that answer. What do you tell yourself if you don't have a husband? I seem to want a new machine for every procedure.

Great answer but my husband doesn't hunt nor fish nor buy expensive tools so now what do I say to him? Guess I just drag them in and hide them for a while?:)

This works very well. As long as DH has more fishing poles or guns then I do sewing machines. So far I'm up to 14. You can also use the excuse that you need another one because it free motions quilts better than the one you have, and you need it to finish the quilt you are making him. This works only if you really make him the quilt.

One of the gals on another group I belonged to said once:
"I saw it, I wanted it, I threw a fit, then HE bought it" *LOL* me thinks she's a bit spoiled..
My DH doesn't hunt so that wouldn't work for me...tools now that is a differnt thing, how many ratchets does it take to change a spark plug? I only have 7 machines now....some are vintage, some don't work, some I just like
