My husband is a professional handyman. So I just look at him and say it's a power tool. He gets over it. BTW i taught my boys to use a sewing machine well before I taught them to use a power saw or a drill. My youngest boy made cowboy shirts.

I really can't say here what I tell my husband. The moderator would delete it anyhow. It must work because I just got a Janome Horizon!

i told him i would unscrew it, frame it, hang it on the wall..if he uttered another word about it, and get another, more expensive model.

Lawn mowers. The man loves lawn mowers. I said last weekend "Shall we go to the shed and start counting lawn mowers?" He replied "That's different." I came back with "What do your lawn mowers produce? I make beautiful things with sewing machines." He didn't say another word, just loaded another one into the car.

Have a friend that had to buy a king size bed to put all the guns in cases that her husband won at raffles, banquets, etc. He never second guesses anything she buys for herself.

I don't have to tell him anything. He just knows "IF MAMA AIN'T HAPPY...NO BODY'S HAPPY!!''
