What to tell your hubby when you want to buy a new sewing machine

At the risk of being boring, my DH so thoroughly supports my hobby of vintage machine and fabric collecting and quilting that I have no need for a comeback. He has helped me purchase about 15 of the 20 machines that I own.
I support his hobby of woodworking. I think I benefit more than he does. He often will build me a cabinet, a bookcase for my fabrics, a replacement treadle cabinet for a vintage machine whose cabinet fell apart, etc., whatever I need to help me out. His most recent creation to me was a lucite extension table for my Singer 301A. :-D
He needs a big hug and a sincere thank you instead of any comebacks.
But, if the situation were different there are legitimate retorts to throw, aren't there?

my husband finally asked (about a month after I purchased a replacement machine for the 25 yr old one that gave out) how much a new machine cost nowdays. My reply "One years membership at the golf course." No further comment!
