    I used my spring loaded scissors to cut the jeans apart and then a 60 mm rotary cutter with new blade to shape the cut pieces. Worked for me.

    I've used a rotary cutter with new blades... everyone is correct about that... you'll need a good sharp blade, and good sharp scissors for some of the cutting. And the spring-loaded snip is SO worth it for the rag quilt! I bought mine with a 40% coupon from Hobby Lobby years ago. Have fun with your jeans!!
