    Is a whole cloth about the same as a printed quilt panel?

    No, it is one solid piece of fabric and the design is solely the quilting. Usually these are solid color fabrics and often the thread will match the fabric color. They are really stunning quilts, some are very elaborately quilted :D:D:D
