Default what is wool and needle flannel?

There are some really nice "wool and needle flannel" collections out right now. Why is it called "Wool" when it is 100% cotton? and what does "needle" have to do with it? I did a search on the internet, thinking wikipedia might know, but no luck there. Can someone here educate me.

It's the name of the fabric collection. The manufacturer calls it that because the flannels look like woolens. There's nothing special, it's not a new kind of fabric, it's just nice, soft flannels that are printed to look like wool.
