    to repair the back of a quilt. Haven't seen it as yet, but today one of my coworkers asked me if I could possibly repair a torn section of his wife's quilt that her mother left to her. I told him to bring it in on Wed and I would look at it. I just don't know how to say no.

    Just pick an hourly $ amount and see when you look at it what needs to be done. If it needs fabric to be matched, that's a different project - trips to stores to find fabric, etc. Maybe you could look at it and give him a "not more than . . . " amount.
