What would you ask?

What would you ask?
Not sure if this is the right forum, but here it goes.
Next week I will be spending the day with Karen McTavish. I am going to her studio in Minnesota for a private class.
So, if you could ask any question of such a prolific quilter about longarm quilting, or quilting in general, what would you ask?
I am sooooo excited. I just hope she likes me and doesn't think I am a complete idiot. LOL

Having taken a class with karen, I wouldn't ask her anything at all. I would simply let her teach. She is a warm inviting and extremely funny person with personality plus. She is a great teacher. Of course i would hope you put together a bit of a game plan of what you want to learn, like McTavishing, Victorian Feathers, how to design a wholecloth quilt or what techniques are most important for award winning quilts? (there are special hints she can give at what judges like etc). Have you purchased any of her books to study her technique?
Really, quite honestly I wouldn't waste any valuble time with Karen flapping my own lips, I would be listening and soaking in everything she had to say and show. I am sure questions will come to you as lessons progress. But at the very least go into this with some sort of game plan of what it is YOU are trying to acheive from such a wonderful opportunity.

I wouldn't ask anything either like feline fanatic but I would at least take a recorder to review later what was said. Video would be better but she might not want that....but i would ask b4 going! I love classes but forget at least half, sigh

Thanks for the help. I kinda figured I would just go with no plan. But I do want to know more about using rulers, marking, and getting inspiration.
I do have her book and video of McTavishing and am friends on Facebook with her.
