I would leave it as a whole piece and use it as a backing or top. It has such large designs that cutting them up would basically destroy the beauty of it I think.

I would make BQ by Maple Island and fussy cut the flowers - they are lovely!

First one looks like a one block wonder to me .....the second could be outside the attic window

Since the boquets are all the same maybe a center of the original uncut boquet. Use some form, like stack n' whack for surrounding blocks. Fussy cutting and appliquing the second fabric motifs onto a border would be interesting. (broderie perse). Whatever you choose can't help but be gorgeous!

Both panels are stunners....I would be inclined to do a broderie perse with both....maybe even combine some elements. Use any leftover bits for a scrappy.

I definitely would not cut this fabric! its perfectly balanced now just as-is. Has a great vintage look to it (maybe it is?). I would just love a narrow gold sashing and possibly a scalloped border of a matching ivory. its exquisite and it would lose its wonderful character to cut into any type of block. i would even quilt it as little as possible maybe just diagonal straight-line quilting about 4" apart. LOVE IT!

I agree that this would be stunning as a whole cloth quilt with or without borders added - Beautiful design !

I'd leave it as it is and add a border and quilt it or do an attic windows. I am more for leaving it alone and just quilt it.
