I agree with Rose L. If they were framed and put on a wall, it doesn't have to be washed. And I agree it should be heat set. I've done some home decorating in my time and I can just see them on a light yellow wall framed in dark brown to make them POP! I would not make a quilt out of them. Too many things to worry about.

framing is out in this house..my hubby said no more flowers on the walls...and my bedroom is done in an Asian theme!

Oh my gosh - these are exactly like my Grandmother painted in probably in the late 60's. Mother had it made into a quilt. I'll call her tomorrow and see if what she did. I don't think it had any sashing. Just blocks sewn together and it is beautiful.
