I would make her two throw pillows-use a mathing color or some animal print--like paw print.

I went to the site where you bought the fabric and read their washing instructions. I think you're right - they won't hold up, not to washing, but to the drying instructions, where they recommend air day. In today's world, most things end up in the dryer, so pillowcases may not be a good choice.

socks are enough for me to air dry after I wash them...Not going there for fabric....no matter how much I like it.

    I am spoiled. ggl

I think a tote would be very nice to use it for. Maybe for the handle and or trim and soft brown or a perky yellow will be to my way of thinking. Then she can use it all of the time and will think of you every time she uses it.

maybe a tote? would it be tacky? use both pieces, front and back. what color would you put with it?

    LOVE the tote idea.

looking for some ideas from you creative people!
Boxers? I'm guessing the fabric is of dogs. I made a tote for a dog friend of mine. In her case, I had photos of the dogs. The pictures are actually pockets.
