I do test them and they have always washed out. I don't mind sewing on the back of the binding by hand although I don't do that for baby quilts. I like the hum of the sewing machine and still working on FMQ but enjoy that too. Nothing always goes according to plans and there are glitches, but, that is part of the process for me.
Doesn't using glue make the quilting process difficult? It seems that it would make the fabric stiff? Obviously I don't have any experience so could you explain?

I enjoy the whole quilt making process.

So I would not pay to have any of it done.

If money were no object I'd have Judi Madsen custom quilt every one of mine. I love her work.

To sandwich and baste the quilt is what I would have done but I usually struggle thru it. Just am not making many big quilts anymore, more smaller projects.

The older I get the harder it is for me to block a large quilt. Maybe I should get serious about exercising more often.

I'm fussy. I'd rather do it myself.

I really don't enjoy the sandwiching/basting step. But I'm also cheap!

I'd be in line for that task as well. For me it is a mix between ability - physical restraints - space restraints.
