I have the accuquilt go die for the zoo animals, may have to alter my fabrics to use that. I was hoping to find a moon and stars die, but that's only available for the studio model...I'm not that addicted yet....I can find stars. oh well. back to the drawing board - or LQS

Now for a purple one.....need a boy one too, but can't exactly use hearts....what to do what to do?
There a 4 square pattern that we call "pieced hearts", it's still hearts but more boxy.

What about just the silhouette of a bear? or car?

I just looked up "pieced hearts" and found everything except the one I wanted---

see if I can replicate it using letters

    OX
    XX

one of the XX units can be a rectangle and then the O and other X are squares. VERY simple to adjust to any size. Needs sashing as you have in yours or alternating squares not the color in the heart. Also looks good set on point with alternating solid/print squares

What about just the silhouette of a bear? or car?

Sailboats or houses or maybe teddy bears would be cute.
