I'm hoping to make table runners, potholders and mitts, traveling checkers games, pillow covers, fabric baskets, soft ornaments, and the list goes on. I've only got one item made so far and it's a play mat for two of my DGSs'. Doing small stuff this year. Short on time & long on family.

How about a set of personalized Christmas ornaments? These go very fast whether paper pieced, or just small quilt blocks. I put names, pictures, dates, different decorations, etc.

The paper pieced ones are backed with felt and just stitched around with a ribbon loop. The quilted ones are backed with fabric, stitched around right sides together and turned and the opening whip stitched.

We give these in sets or use them for package toppers. Last year we baked three kinds of cookies, put them in waxed treat bags and used one of these ornaments for the name tag. These went to such people as bank personnel, mail men, elder neighbors, doctor's office, etc.

All of you have great ideas!! This year we are making Christmas tree wall hangings.

I'm making pincushions--they are cute little hats. For those that sew, I will add new sewing pins and those that don't, I will add safety pins of different sizes. I am also making hat boxes--folded from a pattern I got on the web. Using heavy paper from scrapbooking supplies, these little boxes are very cute.

so far I'm making pillowcases. My bestest friend collects penquins and I found some cute fabric. My daughter wants to take cake decorating and face painting lessons so I have buying supplies from Hobby Lobby with the 40% coupons.
My g baby will get a swing set and some movies.

Just about anything and everything. It really depends on the person I'm making it for. I will probably end up making table toppers and runners and pot holders.
