I just finished up a couple of table runner and matching candle mat sets for my two step daughthers. I always do a Christmas in July project each year, but this July we were on vacation for the first two weeks, didn't think I get my summer Christmas fix this year, but these were quick and easy.

For many years I have picked a theme (i.e. pillow cases, t-towels, bath towels, etc.) and that is what I make everybody. I love to do t-towels and have an embroidery machine so it's easy to pick up flour sacks from Wal Mart and put some simple designs on them (like red work, or color work or simple designs). Placemats are always fun, doily's can be hand made & runners for tables or table clothes - your choice. You could also make hot pads for hot dishes out of left over blocks.

I'm making quilted shawls for my Mom / DMIL / and possibly my StepMIL.
They are 22x72, so they are quite manageable!

I am making small log cabin table runners for my friends for Christmas. All the same pattern in their 2 favorite colors. I'll try and take some pics as I only have 3 tops done so far. I want them all done by October so I can spend a few weeks quilting them. If I don't get them done by Oct 1, I'll have to machine quilt them....which may work out in my favor!

I make a tablerunner or a Xmas thro for family members but also did the Quilt-as-go Xmas Tree skir last year. You can find the skirt at Keepsakes Quilting.

I have made Christmas pot holders, tissue holders, a small tray and some rug mugs for the girls in the family. Nothing for the boys, as yet.

Just noticed a really cute gift (and small) in Clotilde's catalog.

It is a "Sipper Slipper" pattern

It says that it is reusable, quilted hot cup protector, that's fast & easy....... and one can make use of those left over scraps.

I plan on ordering one.....would make a cute gift at any time of the year......not only Christmas holidays.

I am making mug rugs with matching mugs to fill with candy for gifts. I also found an adorable cup coaster set pattern in Quilt magazine Aug/Sept. I am doing 4 cups for a coaster set and a larger cup pot holder for the tea pot in Christmas prints. I also want to try the border print table runner/placemat sets with the 60º ruler. I've been working on collecting the bugs/critters for a bug jar quilt. I don't know if I will get it done by Christmas, it might need to be a birthday present.

Reversable bunk bed quilts for our grandson, and table runners for family, and friends.
