Let's start some dialog about our Holiday projects. Please reply to this post instead of beginning a new topic for this discussion.

I have two bed quilts yet to make. The one for my sister is a queen size pieced basket quilt. The fabric is a Moda collection bought in the Spring. Nothing like the last minute!

The second quilt is a two color twin for my nephew. As his favorite color is green, I chose two greens from a Maywood line. This will not be the first year I have been sewing binding on Christmas morning. LOL :D

What projects have you yet to finish? Anyone have any pictures to share? At the rate I am going you maynot see my pictures until after the holiday.

    :D
I have crocheted dishclothes and made quilted potholders using the nine patch pattern. I am also making the dish detergent bottle aprons to match the potholders. I am not quilting the aprons. I am making them out of the main color fabric of the potholders.

I've been making pillowshams for my daughters. This is a great project to practice machine quilting on.

I have made a couple of kleenex holders (see Timeless Treasures website for free patterns). I wish I had more time to make some quilts for gifts but I was working on some wall hangings.

I made 3 quilts... 2 for friends, one for my brother and sil. I decided to have them quilted by a long-arm quilter. In fact, she called tonight and said the first one is almost done. She is a good friend and she laughed and said "You will not want to give this one away!" It is a Santa quilt.. the friend collects Santas.. and she is quilting it with a gold metallic thread in a snowflake pattern. She said it is awesome! Can't wait to see it. Once they are done, all I have to do it bind them. Last year I waiting until the last minute.. this year I tried to get things done ahead of time. Barb

I will only be making one quilt this year for christmas...and it's for ME!! I'm also doing some embroidered kitchen towels for my many sisters.

The quilt I'm making for myself is the Chenille Snuggle Quilt from Fons and Porter's Sept/Oct issue.

I am making a twin size quilt for my youngest grandson. It is the Bear Paws pattern and I utilized all the left over fabrics from pajamas and shorts that I've made for him and his brothers in the past few years. I do not have the space for machine quilting and am tying it. I also make Christmas ornaments every year. This year I made cathedral window quilted ornaments and counted cross stitch ornaments depicting the sports and/or musical instruments my grandchildren are interested in.
