I love my Accuquilt Go! Minimal waste IF you cut your fabric correctly before running thru the machine. Regarding stiff turning crank - mine was stiff at first then got better then got worse. DUH! I needed to change the mat and it started working good again. I've had a serger from WalMart for over 13 years. Don't use it real often but when I need it - I NEED IT. Yes, they are hard to thread - I used colored paint to mark the threading path on mine. But best advise it to tie on new thread & pull thru path. One of these days I'm gonna buy the one that 'puffs' the thread through.

I have about all the newer tools for quilting. I don't care if I use them only once or everyday. I don't justify any quilting purchase, not one quilting item on the market costs more then paying for two kids in college at one time. It's all mine now kiddos!

BellaBoo and janRN, how wonderful for you!!! I am at the painful, hard to sleep at night stage--a 16 and 14 year old and college looming ahead. My daughter priced out one year at UC Davis and it was $34,000. Yikes!!!

Gosh I use both of them a lot. The Teflon sheet is great for work with iron on stuff. Pounce great for the quilting part and comes out so quickly.
teflon pressing sheet,and the pounce thing for marking quilts. never used the [pounce and the teflon sheet was so stiff and then wrinkled and is useless. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the thing I only tried to use once was one of those things that put two pencils together to measure a 1/4 inch. It went in the garbage the next day.

I bought a set of wavy rulers last year and patterns to go with them. Never used them and can't even remember why I wanted them. The patterns aren't that unique and contain errors. The rulers are still wrapped in plastic. Big waste of money but kudos to the seller. She was very persuasive. I'm that sucker that PT Barnum was talking about. lol

Wow. I have several things (circle sewing foot, specialized rulers) that I've not really made good use of. I keep telling myself though that I was a smart consumer, as I bought these at "past" prices, and when I someday actually do use them they will cost more than when I bought them. Rationalization is one of my strong points
