    Hi all,

Wondering what your essential rulers are, and which specialty rulers you really, really like? Which ruler has made your life easier? I'm about to go shopping and would like some ideas.

    Thanks!

I have to have one ruler that is half the wof, mine has a lip. i also use my 60 degree ruler a lot. I like my 9.5 square and my 12.5 square. I also have an easy angle that I use for flying geese and half square triangles.

June Taylor Shape Cut ruler! I use it on every quilt. It has slits that are 1/2" apart.
    The 12 1/2" square ruler
    and a 6 x 24"

Love the June Taylor Shape cut ruler.

If I broke mine, I would buy another right away.

Oh goodie- I just bought one!! They were 1/2 off at Joann's. I also can't live w/o my Omnigrids- I have a couple of the square rulers- one is 15 inch I think. Love it!
And my long one- can't think of the name or size right now- sorry.
I honestly use all of mine!!
Gina, Joann's always has sales. Rulers can be pricey.

I used to be an Omnigrid fan, but now I'm switching to Olfa.
I use the 6x24 Olfa everyday, it is non slip, frosted, nice thin lines too.
    musy have 6x24, 12 1/2" square and 6" square

Another fun one is the Strip Tube Ruler by Cozy Quilt designs

I have several different sizes/shapes and use them all. I use the 4x14 for cutting binding strips, it's easier to handle, 9.5" square, 12.5" square, 6x18. When I am cutting lengthwise I use my 6x24. I've also got a few others, triangles, scallop, smaller squares. The smaller ones are good for trimming when paper piecing. Each one has it's own job to do. :)

I use my 6 x 24, but wish it were 6 1/2 x 24. I use my 15" square because the first one is not wide enough. I use my 6 1/2 inch square for squaring up my HST. I've used the X-block ruler, found it very cool, but because I was not willing to sew all the tiny triangles into squares, I wasted a lot of fabric. Still, I love the look of the finished quilt from X-block
