I live in SE MI, but travel up to central MI. Down state, I could spend hours in Bits N Pieces in Wayne MI. Up thru the middle of the mitten, I enjoy Heritage in Gladwin and Caroline's in West Branch. You can't stop into Caroline's without getting a hug and a huge smile from Caroline! She's so endearing and welcoming! And I always find things I can't leave without, LOL! If you're ever in the area, stop in & get welcomed warmly!! Judy at Heritage is friendly & helpful too and always has great deals available with awesome fabric choices!! Love both those stores.

Close by my favorites are Crafty Corner in Worthington, MN and Quilt n Kaboodle in Cherokee, IA and if I'm traveling Gruber's in St. Cloud, MN and the Quilted Crow in Boxborough, MA. I believe they all have websites and you can order online. They are such friendly shops and they all feel like 'home'!!

Locally, Quilter's Destination in Arlington Heights, IL (fantastic batiks)

For a road trip, The Quilt Shop at the Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN (charming, with many samples, decent selection of metallics) and Lolly's in Shipshewanna, IN. I have not been to Hancock's of Paducah in person, but Lolly's was the biggest non-warehouse store I have ever seen. Over 15,000 bolts, all the known designers/manufacturers I could think of to look for. If that is not enough, the lower level of the same building has two more extension stores, one totally full with nothing but sale fabric, and another with nothing but minky (not sure of spelling) in every color/texture that can be had.

The Cutting Edge, Antigo, WI (incredible selection of reproduction fabrics)

There's simply to many wonderful shops to pick just one as a favorite. With so many quilt shops going out of business, I take whatever my monthly budget for quilting is, divide by three and visit three shops that month. I feel I am spreading my $$$ and supporting more local shops. It is sad to see them close, I support local!!

Right! Actually it's whichever one has what I want for a reasonable price. Those are getter rarer, by the way.
