I use topstitch needles, and like micro-tex too.

I like to use the microtex sharps, or the denim needles for machine quilting. Usually a size 12.

I use a 14 on normal thickness however if the fabric is heavy I use a 12.

I use the Superior Titanium topstitch 80/12 or 90/14. Love them, they last so much longer than other needles.

Thank you all. I just went out and bought some 90/14 topstitch.

I use Organ Titanium topstitch size 80 or 70 for piecing. I use size 90/14 with 50wt 3 ply which is the size of Connecting Threads Essential Cotton. I think the 50wt 3 ply is too thick for piecing if used in top and bobbin. I use a thin 70wt or 80wt bobbin thread when using the 50wt 3 ply. It took me a long time to understand thread size and needle size. The two have to work together.

I usually use a universal, though I also like the microtex. The size depends entirely on the thread.

Superior topstich titanium needles - size depends on what thread I'm using. There is a great chart on the Superior website showing which to use.

The Superior topstich needles are made by Organ, so I imagine they're the same.
