I usually don't make the same ones. I go to Bonnie Hunter's site and look thru her free patterns for scrappy quilts. Pattern list is on the right, scroll down a bit:

Or Mary Quilts. Her list is on the left:

Check out Bonnie Hunters site for free patterns. Her books are good to. I make a lot of scrappies by sewing varying width strips diagonally on paper (muslin) squares and then make up patterns with the finished blocks.

I'm in love with the triple Irish Chain. Nine patches and the other block is a simple design.

Thanks to each of you for your help. Now to the quilt room to decide which one is calling my name.

Log Cabin is my favorite, but..... I have made one "Oh My Gosh" quilt, and would love to make another. I really enjoyed making that quilt!!

I like log cabins too...quick, easy and you can get very creative with the values. The Oh My Gosh quilt looks like a, "crazy lady challenge," that I may just take on one day...LOL. The other one like that is, Postage Due.

Quilter's World magazine Spring 2015 just came out with a scrappy spring looking triple irish chain. Would be great using up all those scraps. I tend to lean toward Bonnie Hunter's patterns when it comes to scrappy though.

My very favorite is "sew and flip" for children, using a focus fabric. I go through my scraps and select the colors that I think will go with the focus fabric.

I call this Four Patch Surrounded. The squares can be any size you like.
