for working with designs get the cheap paper drawing tablets from Dollar store, they are also easy to sew thru.

    My favorite things:

This Board and the wonderful and informed people who are ready to share
Large stationary cutting mat, rotating cutting mat
    Rotary cutter (45m and 18m (?))
    Thread snippers
    Desk needle threader
Magnetic pin holder (actually round shallow bowl for Harbour Freight)
Magnetic stick to pick things up on floor (from Harbour Freight)
    Niagra spray starch
    Elmer's glue !!!
Templates of all shapes and sizes
Rulers - most used is the 6x24
1/4" seam pressure foot for my machine
    Craftsy classes
All the tutorials available on-line (love Jenny Doan and MO Star Quilt Co.)
Wall design board ( flannel thumbtacked to wall)
Blue painters tape (one use is to put a roll on the right hand side of machine to catch stray threads)
Internet and time spent browsing and looking at quilt patterns
    Good iron
My electronic machine and the Featherweight machine too
MOST USED TOOL-not necessarily my favorite: seam ripper (have one with rubber handle that doesn't roll off the machine)

I guess I could have said "everything about quilting!)

    Have fun!

My sewing room..... I love the quit when I am sewing and the night time visits of my BFF. I have a big easy chair in my sewing room just for those times when I need to meet a deadline and friends drop in. And all those lovely tools I am devoted to. My 1/4" ruler. and my design wall if I can find a wall to put it up!! And all the great advice I have acquired from QB.... it's priceless.

WOW! I second that! I've learned and continue to learn so much from the internet about this quilting bug I acquired, not to mention all the other searched I do daily on the internet from recipes to you name it!

I would be lost without my rotary cutter, a large and a small cutting mat and my seam ripper.

Oh my, it's like deciding between my children, can't do it. I have to mention my stash, it's a wonderful thing. My Babylock Ellisimo has been such a joy. I love my Accuquilt Go, makes life easier. But so does all the rulers and gadgets that I have. They all make this quilting hobby so much fun. I can't imagine how all this would have been in the long ago. I feel wonderfully blessed to have my stuff around me. Joy and fullfillment abound.

My absolute favorite tools are my Dritz Ultra-Fine Glass Head pins. I know they are kind of bendy. But, I love that they don't leave marks in my fabric. I'm willing to deal with that little point. And, my 8" Bias Square by That Patchwork Place. I know that you shouldn't have to square up your blocks. But, I always have to. This baby keeps my half square triangles spot on! And the last thing is my Quick & Easy Block Tool by C T Publishing. (It's 102 Rotary-Cut Quilt Blocks in 5 Sizes.) I wish I had found this a long time ago. It is Awesome!

I look forward to seeing what other people love.

    Thanks for starting this Thread.
