Ironing - then binding.

I hate preparing the fabric to cut, I'm a lefty and rotary cutting is a pain in the you know what. Also I hate sandwiching and pinning the layers together, cause I have to do it on my knees on the floor in the basement and sometimes I hard getting back up.

I love everything , except the sandwiching and pinning. And as I read this topic I see I am not alone.

Cutting is what seems most like a chore to me. I don't mind the starching and ironing at all and enjoy the rest of the processes. Cutting is kind of stressful still and I have yet to find just the right table height to cut without an achy back. I have a decent size cutting mat, but wish it was bigger.

There is a "how to baste" video that lets you do it on a table (or two tables put together end-to-end for a large quilt).

I haven't tried with, but the person who did said it worked well and kept her off the floor!.

Cutting! because if I cut it wrong then I have wrecked it and wasted money on the fabric I messed up!! I so want one of those Accu Quilt cutters!!

The binding use to be but I'm getting so I don't mind it as much. I do dread doing the labels. I put it off until I'm in a mood for it.

Bastin, basting, basting. Hate that so much that I purchased a large frame so that I could eliminate the basting part. But it takes as much time to get the quilt in the frame as it does to baste it.

Isn't that the way of it. I've also bought gadgets to do this or that & found them to be more trouble than they're worth!
