    Default Getting wrinkles out

After reading wrinkles in batting the problem I have wrinkles in fabric.

I try to pre wash but this is not always possible when at a class. Any bright ideas this damp day. Before wrote the last sentence was thinking of putting fabric on the line in the drizzle to dampen.

Thanks for the ideas. I've seen quilters pressing ironing like mad , crease remains and visible stretch on the fibres.

spritz with water & iron...or spritz with water & hang to dry- the creases from fabric being new generally disappear when sewn into your quilt- smoothing- pulling taut...and the quilting process tends to make the wrinkles/creases disappear.

I love it -- no machine, no go! Gave me my morning chuckle with my first cuppa. I think your a girl with her priorities straight. Good luck with the batting smoothing.

I've just never had that much trouble with batting and wrinkles. I iron all my quilts when sandwiched and they don't usually remain once I do that. Just iron from the center out once the backing fabric is laid on the batting, then flip over and add the top. Repeat. I buy that same batting from CT also. I lay it out in advance and let it relax.
