I love Quilters Newsletter but most of my best quilts come from Quiltmania. They have just super ideas.

I am letting my subscriptions go. I have gotten real tired of seeing the magazines I subscribe to on the magazine stand packaged with CD's and I don't get the CD or the extras when I re-subscribe. I still have F&P and Quilter for a while.

In the last several years I've tried many of them just to see what they were like. The only ones I've renewed are Quiltmaker, McCall's Quilting and The Quilter Magazine. I haven't seen anyone mention that last one yet.

Sadly, I haven't made too many quilts or projects yet from most of them. I keep finding other designer's patterns I love more, like Pam Buda's of Heartspun Quilts, her Prairie Women's Sewing Circle Club or her BOM's through The Fat Quarter Shop and I've designed several of my own, too.

I've printed off more freebie patterns found on the net and tutorials found right here than kept any from these magazines.

Often times, several of the patterns in these and other magazines end up on their respective websites for free, either for the current issue I saw them in and/or called by a different pattern name using other fabric months or years before. I'm starting to think that this is not the best use of my precious little funds. :(

Australian Patchwork & Quilting although I do buy others if there are more than 3 projects that interest me.

Quilter's Newsletter Magazine and the Quilter Magazine are my favorites.

The only ones I'll be keeping are Machine Quilting Unlimited and Quilter's Newsletter. I have years and years worth of the latest easy and fast patterns already. I looked thru all the latest issues on the news stand the other day and didn't see any thing really new or exciting.

I read the Quilting Board.... I have gotten sooooo many wonderful ideas and tips from this great group. I don't feel like I need to get magazines.

None. They have gotten too repetitious with patterns and too many ads.

I like Fons and Porter, but love McCalls. Has anybody noticed or is it just me that a lot of articles are being repeated? I am not going to renew any subscriptions as I think I can spend that money on fabric.
