On my Christmas list is an embroidery unit case for my Bernina 830LE. I also asked Santa for the Cutwork kit. Gift cards for local quilt shops as well as Hobby Lobby would be perfect as well!

    Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

This is a very touching thread. I can relate to some of the family issues, I can relate to the desire for more quilting items, I can relate to those not wanting anything. All your comments make me stop and think how much I really have to be so thankful for ... and I am.

I am getting exactly what I want. My DH has offered to have our small back porch enclosed for me to have a sewing room. Contractor has been out, windows and door have been ordered, and construction should begin next week. It will be 8' x 12', but the usable space I will have is 8' x 9'. (Gotta have doors and a space to walk through!) It will be tiny, but it will be mine! He has also bought me a new sewing table/cabinet. I am blessed beyond measure.

I hope each and every one of you have your heart's desire - especially those with family issues. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all!

After reading some of these I feel almost guilty asking for anything. But, I am out of batting and I have been asking for 3 yrs. for one of those ceramic mugs with my grandson's pic on it. She keeps telling me she will get it but didn't say when. A nice family get together with no fighting or even grumbling would really be nice.

My dream: a long arm machine.
My realistic request (well, one of them): rotating cutting mat.

I would ask for the week long training camp at HandiQuilter in Utah.

I told DH to go to the LQS and let the ladies help him select fabric. He has great taste, and I know they would help him select a pattern and buy the right amount of fabric. I guess I'll have to buy it myself. Yesterday he said we should both get new computers for Christmas. Oh, well. I love him anyway.
