I have made scrappy quilts when I taught a class, but it isn't my favorite. I love looking at something and realizing that everything is in order. I tend to like winter colors, bright and showy, and not too many pastels. I make a lot of red white and blue for QOV and maybe that is part of me, because I love doing them. They can even be a little organized scrappy. LOL

I think mine say she likes control, I always add to or change the pattern. And if you ask anyone about me they will tell you she does not give up control easily.

Contradictions are what I am all about. I am a disorganized person, that can't do a scrappy quilt. All my quilts must have order. I can control them....not all the fabric that's everywhere or the sewing supplies, but I have the quilts whipped into shape! I like modern, big block chunks of fabric. Guess what I buy???? Huge prints, flowers, big geometrics, etc. I have about 20 kits that are like Yellow Brick Road, and just can't get started sewing on them. I am going to take each one and do a new pattern in EQ so that they will be controlled. I know, that's wasting a lo of time, but it is the only way they will ever be sewed into something pretty.

I have no idea what mine say about me. Never gave it a moment of thought.

Most of mine say this as well!

I think as a whole they say I have a short attention span, since they're in all sorts of styles and all sorts of colors. Some are very rigid and regimented but the majority have at least some degree of "scrappy" or "crazy" to them.

*** Mine are what ever I feel like at the moment.

*** So I guess I am one who does her own thing.

Oh, I suspect colors and patterns do say something about us. What a wonderful research project for some fabric arts/psychology PhD. to work on. I love scrappy but I find that I also am drawn to putting some particular colors together. I am part of an exchange group on the Board and I MADE myself use the pieces in a totally random manner in my quilt. It really does look nice but since I still had many, many more pieces to us. I fell into making blocks that were of similar colors. I like this too. Within a 16 patch block are pieces that are all tones and patterns but they are all in the red family for instance. For me this is more comfortable. I guess this would make me an organized scrappy person! It's me and that is just right!.... for me. Wish I had the time to be that researcher, but I don't. I am to busy teaching!!
