After having 2 hips and 1 knee replaced over several years I had to have my husband help me quite a bit with driving and household things for awhile. Thinking he was funny, he started replying to my request with "Yes, Miss Daisy" from the movie Driving Miss Daisy. I added the first two letters of my first name in case someone else was using Miss Daisy.

I was working as a marketing rep for a title company. My clients knew I used to sell real estate and placed a lot of bids on HUD houses for my clients. They asked me to put together a class on how to bid on HUD houses. My class ended up being an hour long with a great manual to go with it including cheat sheets and filled in forms.
When I walked into real estate offices after teaching the class for a while, people would say " it's the HUD lady" or "HUD queen.". I said "if you're going to call me something, let's make it good." HUDGoddess was born.
I got out of real estate years ago but haven't found a better handle.

Two of my grand kids call me grandma because DDIL's mom is nana.
My third grand kid also calls me grandma.
We call my grandson in CO. T, and my SIL began calling me T's meema, for fun. So when I joined here I became Teesmeema. Now at 19 months T calls me Memee! I LOVE it! :-D :-D :-D

luv2look . . . exactly that . . . I love to look . . . at all your beautiful quilts. I'm learning lots too. One day, I am actually going to get the nerve to make a quilt. <GG> I have a *list to do* at least a mile high! I'm hoping to do when I have a little time for myself.
Absolutely love every ones explanation for their *name*.

My "logo" when designing for quilting magazines was miniquiltmaker because the domain name for miniaturequiltmaker was already taken. I just shortened it to MiniatureQuilts for my blog and Etsy. I closed the website years ago.
