Not too exciting..I am "thequilter48" and they wouldn't let me use it..so I tried Mimi (which is what my GC call me) and it was in service so I used my own name..lol..

Joeysnana- My first grandchild is names Mies Joseph. His middle name is Joseph in memory of my brother William Joseph who died 9 years ago when he was only 46. Most family members call my GS "Mies", but I call him Joey in tribute to my little brother.

When my daughter was married...her husband had 2 kids from a previous relationship. The boys name was Sable Kai...And the little girls name was Zephyra. I am no longer their step granny :( as my daughter and him got divorced a few years ago. But every time I see any of your posts, I remember Zephyra and Sable..

I'm arizonagirl because this is where I was born. I have lived in Arizona most of my life. All my kids and grand kids were born here also. Arizona is a big part of who I am. I've though about what it would be like to move out of state, but I would miss my kids and grand kids so much. We have great weather most of the time even in the winter.

I wrote here and it disappeared! Here I am again. My dogs follow me all over the house. Even in my quilting room they come. I was looking at them when I joined the board and decided to use the ID of Quilted Dogs since they are always with me quilting as you see in my Avatar pic. I said smile girls for the board and took the pic of them helping me in my quilting room.

Well, I was born in AL, but my Dad got transferred to Texas when I was a baby. We lived in very South Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, and there were a lot of Mexicans and Mexican food as we lived near the border of Mexico. Mom learned to cook these Mexican dishes and so I learned how to cook them, also. When I was in High School, I lived back in AL, so married a man from here.....a nice young farm boy I guess I should say and he never had Mexican food. He loved it and loves for me to cook it. Funny thing, he is German! Later when we had to stop farming, he got a job and I used to cook Mexican food for him and some of his "lunch bunch" and I got dubbed TacoMama!

Krystyna - that is a lovely story!

My older sister is named Marsha. I grew up being the "Jan", saying, "Marsha Marsha Marsha!". LOL No one called me Jan growing up. It's a name I gave myself as an adult. Only my sister and I use it. We find it hilarious. I love my given name, but people get it wrong, and I have to spend 10 minutes explaining it. Music has always been a big part of me, so I became Musicaljan. :D
