Wow, I guess I don't have anything to complain about. I'm glad I found it now and not after it was finished.

Too familiar a question...this week hubby and I had to rip out 2 rows after using invisible thread on a customer quilt. Tension decided to get loose, so of course, it had to come out. Never heard so many colorful words at one time! lol. But...the quilt turned out very nice in the end, and the customer was thrilled with the look of the invisible thread.....moral of the story, as far as hubby is concerned though, is that the last quilt using that kind of thread! Definitely a learning experience :)

I helped rip out almost a whole quilt. It was one of the 1st ones she made without any help. She pieced it and took it to the quilter and it was so long on one side she sent it back. She had eased in sashing strips and streched strips to make them fit. We made new strips and put back together it turned out very pretty.

I've done this too when I discovered too late that the tension was terrible. (Fortunately, it's much easier to rip from the back when the bobbin thread is really loose.)

I just took a 117x117 inch quilt off the longarm. I had first quilted straight lines maybe averaging 8" apart in a kind of storm at sea pattern. Then I filled in between the lines (which, although straight, actually make circular areas) with feathers and swirls. I decided that the straight lines were out of place once the feathers and swirls were added, so I'm taking them all out. That will take a while, but I won't be happy with them there so why not take the time?
