When cabbage patch kids came out the 1st ones were hand made and their face was scuplted with long needles. After I tired of those I made a hot pink ballerina pig with snout, curly tail, and cloven front feet. The back feet were in slippers.
When I first started spending so much time on the computer my feet would swell but I hate a footstool because it hurts my knees. I made a foot stool that had a top at 45degrees and was padded and on wheels to move out of the way when I wanted my feet down.
I took a twin bed matress frame suspended it from the ceiling with chains. entwined silk wines and roses for my 6 year old.

Also made a VBS mascot one year. Everyone loves a 6'3", 225 Lb penguin, right!?!
Of course! But what is VBS? Very cute costume!

Everyone knew exactly what his costume was and he looked adorable!
That is so cute! Do you have a pic?

I made someone a quilt out of baseball caps. Turned out good, but was not really fun.

VBS is Vacation Bible School. We have it every summer at church. I only made two mascots. The penguin and Cooper the dog. Then I put a stop to it. That is sheets of foam in the head and feet of the animals and very hard to sew. Also afraid of messing up the machine. They have reused the dog and my son used the penguin for a Christmas party. That was funny.

Not odd, but I make chemo caps, mostly cotton, but have made them out of flannel, warmer for winter. I also took apart a bikers head wrap. Ties in the back to fit the head.

I have made a body wrap out of flannel to go under a body brace. That was kind of weird.

Don't know if this counts, but I once made a fire hydrant costume for a friend's Halloween party many, many years ago. It was so-o-o-o funny!!! I designed it myself!!

I made a medicine holder for my husbands inhalers. He died of emphysema five years ago. He loved having an elasticized pocket to fit each one of his medicines to keep him breathing. I used a canvas or duck type fabric and velcro for the project. It was sort of like a make up kit... I wish I had kept it...but I thought maybe someone else who was suffering might be able to use it.
