I'm sorry about your mum too. I have cared for my parents for going on 11 years. I started a quilt for my dad when I was newer to quilting but didn't finish it before he died. I finally finished it and my DH hung it in our bedroom. I smile remembering it each time I look at it. Mom's still with us but in the later stages of Alzheimer's.

Right now I'm gathering, printing and sewing pics for my G-son's Grad. quilt for June. Also have a BOM going, the blue and white blocks are finished, just have to sign and mail them. Got three quilt kits that need done, don't know when. Have a batik, a stack and whack, a flannel quilt for SIL and a sampler quilt to finish. Have fabric for several totes to do. This is starting to make me tired just thinking about it! Whew!! I wish us all luck!

Nor'easter What a beautiful story of the quilt. You almost made me cry. What a special memory you have. AND how special that your daughter appreciates it too. Do you have pictures posted here somehwere?

    Isn't that the truth!

I need to finish the baby quilt my daughter and I started together. She is "afraid to sew" - think she might ruin it. At least I got her to do the cutting! I have 2 other baby quilt UFOs that would be great for my first grandchild. He is due in March.

I made a long list of my UFOs over the holidays. I have to finish them! They are taking up too much space in the closet!

I currently have Old Tobacco Roads on the design wall (and ran out of room for the last rows) plus I am making the Double Delight from Quiltville, and now that it is cold again, I need to get back to the flannel quilt for DH.

If only I could sew 24/7! I might catch up with myself!

I'm seriously thinking about making my first "scrappy" quilt. I'm searching for the right pattern now.
