There is a lot of movement in the quilt. Especially the larger border. But the colors go together nice, I think. Someone will be very happy to receive a beautiful quilt.

I like it a lot. I didn't think "Christmas colors" when I saw it like some of the others did. I wonder if you will like it more a few months down the road. If not, then donate it.

Okay, being honest here. My first thought before I read your post was 'wow, I like that, it looks just like the decor in one of those old time Chinese restaurants.' You know, the little hole in the wall places that have been around forever? As a child I loved going to the one down the block from where my dad worked. I really like this quilt.

There's not a thing wrong with it. All the fabrics go well together and I like the pattern. With that said, I think perhaps a couple things are going on that make you not love it. Some others have mentioned similar things:
    1. The color combo is "almost but not quite" Christmasy because the yellow is a tad pale. It could look a bit washed out compared to the more saturated reds and greens there.
    2. Instead of a stop border being solid, the motion of the quilt continues with a highly patterned border, so maybe it's lacking a sense of rest to the eyes?
    3. In the picture, it is very near the plaid sofa which has similar but richer colors and a different look altogether? Have you hung it elsewhere or laid it on your bed to see if it looks better to you in a different setting?
    4. You've just looked at it too long. That happens.

Once you can put your finger on what is troubling you about it, you'll know for next time. Make someone really happy by donating it--and then find a new quilt to dive into !

For me it is ok but nothing special. I feel there is too little contrast between the red background and the print. Also the red and green are too close to the same value.
But that is just my taste, others, obviously feel differently.

Add me to those who love your quilt. I did not realize it was 4 patch posies, from a distance I can not easily see that the blocks are 4 patch. I think that the fabric print has little variation, so from a distance the posies do not have a lot of variety.

I love the colour combination. I think autumn, not Christmas.

I think possibly the colors are all similarly saturated. No place for your eyes to rest - might be what is bothering you

I agree it's not for me. I think all the fabrics are in the same contrast area. It needed more definition between the colours for me.

I also don't think there is anything wrong with it. The recipient should really like red.
