Well before the new year I had only 2 quilts I 'had' to do this year....a baby quilt and one for a step-grandchild since all the other grandchildren have quilts now I need to get him one too! Then my resolution was to make a quilt for ME! Now, after the new year, my daughter is getting proposed to next Friday (she doesn't know it yet) and I am sure she will get married towards the end of the year, so I would really like to tackle a double wedding ring quilt. Then I found out my cousin's daughter is getting married in April and they have been really good to my family so I want to make a quilt for her wedding gift. My niece is graduating from high school in May and I want to give her a quilt for her to take to college. I have my co-worker thinking about retiring and I promised her a quilt last year when she retires. Last night my dil says she has had so many compliments on the quilts I have the grandkids that she wants me to make a few to sell! I feel very flattered, but I don't think that is gonna happen!

So many projects, so little time I have the following in progress, that I will finish this year:
    1. Downtown block of the month (paper pieced stars and houses)
    2. Border Creek Station "Quilter's Dessert" mystery
    3. 2 scrap challenges - a block, or maybe a quilt top, each month for those from my scraps
    4. Tell it to the Stars mystery from www.patchworktimes.com
    5. Bonnie Hunter's Celtic Solstice (should be first on the list - reveal is out so I need to finish it now)
    6. Toes in the Sand (Jaybird quilts) block of the month

And fabric piled for projects that I haven't started. In most cases it's just pretty fabric and needs a pattern. But I do have a one-block wonder ready to go that I'd like to do, and a Kaffe Fassett quilt from his Shots and Stripes book. If I start something new this year, it will be one of those.

Then I have 9 quilt tops that need to be quilted - but that's in my UFO list on another thread.

I should make a list, then maybe my mind wouldn't stray from other things.
    1. Finish HQ my great nieces' quilt.
    2. Bind one quilt which is ready to go.
    3. Make my first Quilt for the Quilters Swap. ( this should be interesting=love a challenge)
    4. Make curtains with some kind of quilt block theme for my "Toy Room"
    5. Go back to HQ my quilt which has been an UFO for 7 years now.
    6. Make a few more scrappy block quilts from all the 2.5 charm squares I have ( for friends)

Oh My...I have UFO's galore. I just havent had time to sit for any great length to work on them.

    1. Quilt and bind my great nieces "Jungle Walk" quilt. *sigh* I started this before she was born and she will be 1 in March)
    2. Finish all the stitching down the applique on my BOM "Joys of Winter" (maybe it will be done by *this* coming Christmas!)
    3. Finish piecing a fan quilt (Meet me in Paris) that is dear to my heart. Its for my mother and the fans are made from shirts that she had made for my late father.

After all this I want to start a paper pieced Storm at Sea. I also will be starting a Baltimore BOM.

This post made me write down my goals for 2014 quilting:

    1) Finish 2 t-shirt quilts for nephews

    2) Start AND finish t-shirt quilt(s) for SIL -and get done before quilt show in MT in August!

    3) Quilts for 3 DGS - shouldn't take too long as center is panel of fabric

    4) Take my Turning Twenty quilt to my LA quilter for her artistry

    5) Finish flannel TT quilt for another nephew

Good thing I'm cutting back on work hours in March...I need to get movin!

    Happy New year, everyone!

I haven't been able to quilt since November because of a herniated disc. So I've made my list for once I have my surgery and can quilt again.
    1. Finish the quilt I started working on in October for my sister.
    2. Make a Louisville/St. Louis Cardinals quilt for my GS.
    3. Make a New Orleans themed quilt for my friend who graduated from college in December at the age of 61!
    4. Make a quilt for my cousin.
    5. In between all that I want to make some mug rugs for myself and DH.

Yes. I enlarge them so the pieces can be satin stitched. Then they go through the washer and drier. Only in the last few months have I started doing them at the pattern size (no stitching) and stretching them on canvas. Sold out of those so doing a few more.
