I'll take our "problem" any day over some other problems!

I started buy batiks a yard at a time, all colors and patterns. Just got a book that has a wonderful pattern that I will use someof my batiks in. going to LQS on Saturday and if you finish a bolt you get 25%off.....so if they have a low bolt of batik, it might be mine:-)

I have very little in batiks. They are not something one finds at the thrift store as a rule, and are out of my budget generally speaking. What I have I have received in PIFs or trades mostly. Once in a while I will find some on sale at a very good price and will pick it up. It is never for a planned project. I mainly do controlled scrappys and use the batik where it fits in.

A lot of mine are spur of the moment or I'm looking for colors I'm low on. I don't like multi-color or tie die looking ones at all. Love the Hoffman 1895s but also the larger prints but with only 2-3 colors or shades of the same color. I tend to buy 1/2 yards or FQs for a scrappy look.

I love batiks too. I just buy small amounts usually because I like scrappy quilts and they cost so much!

I have tons of batiks of all kinds. Light ones, dark ones, multi colored ones. I buy them for specific projects and for no projects at all. Just because I love all of them. I have to often force myself away from the batik rack in the LQS to look at other fabrics. Yet I still find myself buying mostly batiks. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!
