I wish I liked batiks as well as most, but I just don't
Can't even tell you why. Actually have nothing in particular as to why they don't call my name!! I guess they
just don't fit in with the type of quilts I make. That's a
switch, usually I seem to pick the most expensive of everything when picking what I like.

Mine are spur of the moment, if it is teal, it comes no matter what. Batiks are the hardest to part with, even the scraps, I just love them so much.

My batik stash is an assortment of different colors and yards of fabrics. I just buy without any project in mind. One of these days......LOL

Exactly my sentiments! My first quilt was made of batiks and I continue to be mesmerized by the great batiks at my LQS. The Montana Cartwheel which I am trying to finish is mostly batiks. I especially love teals, blues, greens, and purples so I go there first. I have prints and solids.

I am with the few who don't care for them. Just can't get into them, maybe someday down the road.

Practically none, I am not a big batik fan.

i seldom have a project in mind when i buy batiks.. they just call me...

i prefer the ones with a lot of different colors.. then i can fussy cut if i wish to "select" a particular shade..

that being said, i am looking for a couple good red batiks.. i want to make the quilt of valor in batiks.. found a great blue.. using that for the top rather than ordering the banner fabric.. going to applique white stars in various sizes to it...

good to have a (yet another) plan.

Most of my batiks were in bags of fabric given to me by friends. A few I have purchased recently;a beautiful turquoise with the rust/golden veins like mineral lines in the gem itself. The latter is for a quilt I'm now working on.

I love my batiks. Never cared for them before but just took a liking to them while working on my sons batik wedding quilt. As far as what is in my stash.....

    NOT ENOUGH! LOL
