LOL We have no one coming for Christmas this year, we will be gong to visit the kids so we didn't want to drag out the big tree. So we shall have this one hopefully. With buttons, we can even "trim the tree" with our extra special ornaments. Then at the send of the Season, roll it up til next year!! It's 76 3/4" tall - just over 6 foot so it can be hung as high as you want it to be!! And still put presents under it in a semi-circle.!

That tree quilt looks really fun, also makes it easy to trim the tree and no fuss clean up after the holidays!

Mostly Christmas for family & customers. Just getting 2 t-shirt commissions and will have to focus on those; have a memory quilt for StepMIL to quilt, a Guild challenge wall hanging by early Dec., some charity stockings for a domestic violence shelter;a stuffed animal for youngest g-son---and here I sit! How far away is Christmas anyway???

    Placemats are done.

They're okay, I guess. I put them away for a while so the booboos won't be so noticeable. 😄

Found some cute fall fabric. Pieced a couple of potholders and the back, binding and thread are set up to finish in the morning. I will try to FMQ them. Geronimo!

Son wants a small blanket for his pickup. I have a crib sized train panel with a built in border that I will add on to. It has kind of a weird art deconess to it. I've had it for years so just tossed it and the backing into the washer.

Still need to scheme on more gift stuff to prep but it's getting late.

I'm working on a red/yellow/black Star of Bethlehem that I started in about 1999 (before I knew about strip-piecing, so it is all done with individual Y seams LOL). I didn't have an overall pattern, just liked the star, so I did that and lost steam since I wasn't sure what to do next. Just recently dug it out and am adding smaller stars to encircle the main star, and then we'll see where we go (I have a vague idea, but retain the right to change my mind )

I just finished some dryer balls that I made for Christmas gifts. I made them out of wool yarn, washed & dried them several times to felt them & they turned out nice. They are an inexpensive & reusable Eco-friendly alternative to dryer sheets. They reduce drying time & decreases static.

Thanks, Kitsie. I want to try this method next. I bought freezer paper a few years ago
then couldn't remember why I bought it. LOL
Do you print on freezer paper by the roll and do you use laser or ink jet?
