I do like TallChick--but I rarely flip the fabric as I have my cutting table in the center of the room and just walk to other side.

I mainly use my June Taylor strip cutter. I cut the left edge straight then cut towards the right of line #1.

This is how I do it except I don't flip it. I just walk around to the other side of the table.

I cut this way also. I was taught that you “protect” the strip you’re cutting by covering it with the ruler. You can always salvage what’s under the ruler if you don’t move the ruler during a cut, then re-straighten your fabric edge. I don’t turn the fabric though. I spin the whole cutting mat.

i trained myself to cut with my left hand.
    all fabric to right.
first cut with left hand, to square off.
remaining cuts with my right hand.

doing it that way, i don't have to flip the fabric or move to the other side of the table.

I do as Patrice2 does. Fabric cleanup cut with one hand then swap the rotary cutter to other hand for strips.

I cut the same way, only without the June Taylor strip cutter

Extra fabric is on the right hand side. Ruler is over the fabric to cut.

I will cut a larger unit and then sub-cut it down. I don't want the extra yardage on the table and in my work space. It's refolded and put away first.

In my earlier quilting days, I cut with the ruler over the extra fabric. One of the local instructors showed the method of using the ruler marks. It was quite awkward at first to make the change.

    Hmmm...interesting.

I cut right handed, but all my extra fabric is to the left. I guess I'm in the minority.

Then again, I was left handed when I was little but way back then we weren't allowed to be left handed so were forced to learn to do things with our right hands. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Isn't that strange? My husband was also not allowed to use his left hand when he was little. We never figured out why that was an issue.
I always do my own nails. It's funny but I can do both with ease. I can't do much else with my left hand but my nails look good lol. I feel naked w/o polish so that's probably bc of the years of doing it.
