When do you have too much fabric?

It's so subjective: one person's "too much" is another person's "not enough!" One thing to consider: will you actually use it, or do you just like to buy? My father is a hoarder, and at 92 he just went into a facility last week. The mess my sister and I have to deal with is insurmountable! Just think about your spouse or kids and what they will have to clean up after you are gone.

My favorite LQS is closing. The whole store is 40% off. I said something to my husband that if I go I will come out at least $200 poorer. He said If you have a use for it, go to the shop. I almost 71yrs old and have heart failure. Can you guess who is picking up her sisters and Mother and going shopping today? ME!! My daughter tells me not to put anything in my sewing room in the will, just put her name on the door and mail her the key.

I found that I had too much fabric when my sewing room started to give me anxiety. So I cleaned, sorted, and set myself some goals to use what I have first before buying new. Did I stop buying? Heck no, but I am a bit more selective in my purchases.

I love my stash and don't feel guilty about indulging myself... There are many vices that are worse. I would like to live long enough to make it all into beautiful things.
That being said I do shop my stash first and try to buy sale fabric when I can.
