I'm going to attempt to sort my fabric AGAIN sometime this summer. but I'm going to have to have someone with more patience than my younger DD. I almost disowed her last winter when she helped.

You have too much fabric when you have no other room and you sleep with it in your bed. Start sewing.

it's a matter of perspective. when dh sees more come in he can't believe it. there's "too much".
if i see it, love it and can't remember already having some, then it's time to get it. i am making a watercolor quilt for my sister and i can already tell i do not have near enough! it is just so beautiful, i need some for me.
i also want to be able to enrich my community. so, when i die y'all can come and take all you want. the rest can go to all those people that score big at garage sales. then YOU can decide. did i have enough? hope it's enough to go around!

Never, Never Never. I saw a fabric I wanted to use in a quilt for my DGD and passed it up at the time. Do you think I can find it now? Not. You can Never never never have to much fabric

When do I have to much fabric?

Is there really such a thing? ok ok ok yeah I know stupid to ask that
    question.

But normally I would say no such thing as to much. But right now I
am trying to work on refolding all my fabric onto boards for better
    storage/viewing.

Not only do I like the look of all the colors being visible (once I find the
shelving I want), but I think it would help me to stop buying so much
fabric (until I use some of what I have) if I can actually SEE what is in
    my stash already.

With that said I still have 40+ bins of fabric to refold. I WAS going to
put them onto comic boards but I didn't like the size (after I purchased).
So I decided to buy foam core boards at Dollar Tree and cut them to
a size that "I" like/want/need which I find is 10x13 for fabric that is 1yd
or more, and 5x10 for FQ and anything up to 1 yd.

It is working for me and that is wat matters the most in my opinion.
