When Making a New Quilt, Do You
#82
They all seem to be new patterns to me. I do all the tutorials, do them in a hurry so they aren't perfect, should slow down on that because I always end up making them into a doll quick, wall hanging or something. So I guess technically I actually do.

I most cerianly do! Pratice pieces help me find any problems I would have with a block, or design. In the end I make a lot less mistakes, and cut way down on the dreaded relationship I have with the seam rippers.

Hi. There are several things a beginner can do to "see" what you will get. Cut out and piece one block. Get 2 mirrors and hold at meeting corners at the outside edge of your block. This is very good to let you know what it would look like without sashin and a full effect of setting just block to block. Another tip is only cut one block then sew it together to see if its the size you want. my lessons were learned the hard way. lol
